The CONSCIENCE FORUM, on Saturday, 17th May 2025, inaugurated new executive members for the Oshodi-Isolo LGA chapter.

In his welcome address, Comrade Richard Oru,  described Conscience Forum as a place where truth prevails.

He enjoined the new Executive to be aboveboard and eschew any act that could taint their reputation and the forum’s image. “It is only a person who believes in truth and is willing to serve in fairness to truth who can be a member of the Forum,” he said.

The national chairman of the Conscience Forum, Hon. Bashorun Olufunmilola Anjorin, an Igbo titled chief, “Enyi ndi Igbo of Lagos State”, addressing the large audience, said, “Conscience Forum, founded by Hon. Moshood Adegoke Salvador, has been in existence for over twenty years with the aim of bringing good, sincere, and trusted leadership to the political scene.

He went further to reveal that CONSCIENCE FORUM has four members in the Federal House of Reps who represent different federal constituencies in Lagos State. “The forum is not discriminatory against anyone or group, but the quality of leadership and representation matters, not the political party’s name”, he said.

Hon. Anjorin wishes the new Executive members a successful tenure. He advised them to keep to the forum’s rules and go out to “win souls” for the Forum. He reminded them that their tenure is for two years without another term, and warned that they can be removed from office for “indiscipline and abuse of office.”

In his remark, Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi lauded the forum founder, Hon. Salvador, who was unavoidably absent, for founding the forum. He stated that he was inducted into the forum in 2018 and, “truth has always been the bedrock of the group.” He charged the new Executive members of Oshodi-Isolo LGA to maintain and guide the forum’s principles of jealousy.

The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman, Chidi Asobi-Peters, with his vice chairmen, John Kayode and Boniface Nneji, respectively, led the 17 other executive members to take the oath of office.

In his acceptance speech, Chidi Asobi-Peters thanked the leadership and members of the Conscience Forum for entrusting them with the affairs of the forum in Oshodi-Isolo LGA. He promised that he and his team would not disappoint the trust.

Among dignitaries and political bigwigs who witnessed the inauguration are the Honourable Member Representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2, Hon. Barrister Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, the National Chairman of Conscience Forum and Vice Chairman of the Labour Party, Hon. Bashorun Olufunmilola Anjorin, SA, Political Matters to Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, Chief John Uche, SA, Political Matters to the Hon. Member, House of Rep, Henry Amike, Pa Komolafe, a chieftain of Labour Party in Lagos State and many others.

The inauguration also featured entertainment for guests and members by the women’s wing of the Conscience Forum, Oshodi-Isolo LGA, led by Ngozi Nkwonta.

Conscience Forum is an independent political forum with members from different political parties in 20 Local Government and Council Areas of Lagos State. The forum’s objective is to ensure that truth prevails in the political field and to support noble candidates who deliver credible leadership that reflects the will of the people.
